Day 2 : Giza

Giza pyramids, sphinx, Sakkara & Memphis
Visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu). It is certainly one of the most important monuments of ancient Egypt. A masterpiece of fabricated structure and architecture, you will be overwhelmed by the huge size of its blocks, the height, and the age that exceeded 4600 years. Your guide will explain fully the history of all the area including the other pyramids, of Chephren and Mycerinus, answer all your questions and you will have the chance to take pictures of the whole area. You will spend more than two hours in the area so that you can enter one of the pyramid's chambers. You may like to have a camel ride around the area. Moving to the Sphinx area where you will spend some time exploring this monolith statue, which symbolizes the power and wisdom of the pharaoh. Next to the Sphinx area, you will visit the valley temple where you will learn about mummification in ancient Egypt.
Your next stop is Sakkara, home of Egypt's oldest pyramid, built-in 2800 B.C. Your guide will provide a brief history of the famous Step Pyramid and you will have free time to walk around and visit the painted tombs of the nobles.
Memphis is the oldest capital of Egypt after the unity in 3100 B.C. You will visit the open-air museum in the city. In Memphis, you will see the second-largest Sphinx in Egypt, the lying colossus of Ramses II, and many more monuments dug in this great city.

Day 3 : Cairo

Cairo City Tour
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is one of the largest museums in the world. Your Egypt tours will take you on a 4 hours tour to explore the museum's treasures (opened in 1901). Look at the amazing monuments and artifacts in its different halls in a guided tour. Although the museum has tens of thousands of artifacts in this short tour, your Egyptologist guide will focus on the highlights and masterpieces of the museum. Visit the Tut Ankh Amun Wing on the first floor and see his wonderful collection of historically important artwork. The treasures are mainly golden and they cover a quite large section of the museum. This area of the museum includes significant statues, furniture, and gold sculptures. After enjoying the guided part of the tour, take some free time to browse the museum.

Following the visit to the museum, you will go to the citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster mosque. Drive to the old section of Cairo where you will pass by the highest mountain in Cairo. The fort of Saladin was built on a cliff of this mount for protecting the city against the Crusaders. In 1830 Mohamed Ali, the king of Egypt ordered the building of the Alabaster Mosque inside the citadel. You will go inside the mosque to see its main components and learn about the Islamic pillars. Aside from its huge size and exquisite beauty, one of the beautiful elements of this mosque is that it has two identical slim minarets, top-covered with lead as the mosque domes and semi-domes. Enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the mosque, where you can see the Giza pyramids on clear days.
Feel the relaxation of your soul when you go to Old Coptic Cairo. It is a very sacred and holy area as it contains 14 churches and a Jewish synagogue. The tour starts with a visit to the Hanging Church, one of the most beautiful churches that were built in the 5th century. Consecrated to Virgin Mary, The church was built above one of the towers of the fort of Babylon. It has 110 beautiful icons and once was the seat of the Patriarch. Your guide will explain to you all about the church before moving to the Cavern church or the church of St Sergius and Bacchus. Thousands of visitors come annually to this church to visit the cave where Jesus the baby and the Virgin Mary were hiding for 3 months during the journey of escape in Egypt. The religious tolerance in Egypt is embodied by your visit to the oldest Jewish temple in Cairo. This temple is one among the other 11 synagogues in Egypt and is named after a merchant from Jerusalem called Ben Ezra.

Our 4-day Nile Cruise, hosted by Your Egypt Tours was a truly amazing experience. This was all thanks to our private guide, Ash. Ash was not only highly knowledgeable in Egyptian history, but he was also very passionate about his work in tourism and making the Nile journey unforgettable. Ash spoke great English, and throughout the course of the 4 days, he went out of his way to ensure we felt safe, comfortable, and that we had a wonderful time. The cruise, on MS Farah, was fantastic. The service was top notch, the food was delicious, and the views along the Nile were breathtaking. Ash was present at each stop along the Nile journey, once we disembarked the ship, to hand-walk us to every ancient temple and attraction, and to deliver a compelling story on ancient Egyptian history. From the moment we were picked up promptly at 8:00 AM, to the final drop-off at our hotel at 7:00 PM, every moment was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. Iman, our exceptional Egyptologist and Tour Leader, captivated us with her deep knowledge and passion for Egyptian history. Her insightful explanations at the Giza Pyramids area provided us with a profound understanding of the ancient wonders we were about to explore. Throughout the day, she ensured that each stop on our itinerary, from the Great Pyramid burial chamber to the Sphinx Area, was not just a visit, but an enriching experience filled with historical context and cultural significance. Wow! We just wrapped up an incredible 2 day visit to Cairo with Your Egypt Tours. This was my partner and I’s first visit to Egypt and we can’t say enough great things about our experience. From start to finish they took care of all of the details of our trip. Mona helped us to select the right itinerary for our short stay in Cairo and was clear, timely, and professional in all of her communication. We were picked up from the airport, guided through the visa and customs process, and rode in a lovely private van to our hotel with the help of Ahmed. Driving in Cairo is no easy feat and our driver Raf made us feel incredibly comfortable. We chose to visit the pyramids our first day and check out Cairo, the Khan el Khalili bazaar, and the Egyptian museum on our second day. Our guide, Mamdouh, was truly incredible. His knowledge, fun attitude, and professionalism made our experience so memorable. He is also a great photographer! Every detail of each day was taken care of including coordinating entrance fees, identifying which local vendors were reputable, and giving us a chance to learn more about the Egyptian culture. Every person we interacted with in the tour group is so welcoming and made us look forward to our next visit to Egypt.
