Day 1 : Unveiling The Mysteries Of Luxor And Aswan

Location: Luxor

Meals Included: Lunch

Your adventure begins at 06:00 AM, when our representative will meet you at your hotel in Luxor. From there, we’ll whisk you away to Aswan, the gateway to Africa’s ancient secrets. Our first stop is the awe-inspiring Philae Temple, a tribute to the Goddess Isis, the island’s primary deity. After paying homage to the goddess, we’ll treat you to a delightful lunch at a local restaurant in Aswan. Then, proceed to visit the Unfinished Obelisk which shows the techniques used by the ancient Egyptians to cut obelisks. Most probably this obelisk belongs to Queen Hatshepsut, one of the rulers of the 18th Dynasty and the royal wife of King Tuthmosis II. This queen was the owner of her Temple in the Eastern Bank of Luxor tmple which was built in honor of Goddess Isis the, chief deity of the island. Also, there is an opinion which says that it belongs to Queen Nefertiti. and transfer to your hotel in Aswan.

Day 2 : A Day With The Gods At Abu Simbel Rise And Shine

Location: Abu Simbel

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

At 03:30 AM for an early breakfast at your hotel before we set off for the magnificent Temples of Abu Simbel. These architectural marvels, unique in their design, are the epitome of ancient Egyptian grandeur. Reflecting the glory of the New Kingdom, these temples were saved from flooding through the combined efforts of the Egyptian government and UNESCO. The Great Temple of Ramsses II, also known as The Sun Temple, is dedicated to the universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and Ramesses II himself. Adjacent to it is the Temple of Queen Nefertari, also known as the Temple of Hathor, the wife of the Sun God. Symbolically, these two temples unite Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor, and the Sun God as one. After a morning spent in the company of gods, we’ll head to a local restaurant in Aswan for a well-deserved lunch. Enjoy some free time at leisure before we journey back to your hotel in Luxor. Clothing: Egypt's climate is dry all year round, so you won't require rainwear unless you are going to Alexandria between December and February. In winter you will need light woolen clothes with sweaters, “layers of clothing are recommended. “From December to February travelers to winter clothing is essential. In spring and autumn, a combination of both is advisable for the warm days and cool nights, so pack accordingly. From May to November, light cotton clothes are recommended People in Egypt are used to tourists visiting their countries. You are welcome to wear walking shorts and a short sleeve shirt for sightseeing excursions On board Nile cruises we recommend to dress 'smart casual' to dinner each evening. Swimsuits are absolutely fine for the swimming pools and beaches On days that you visit Holy sites (mosques and churches), you preferably wear slacks, long skirts and long sleeves. If not, they provide in the mosques something long to wear to enter the mosques Strong and comfortable closed-toe shoes are wise choices to keep your feet from sand, dust, or mud. Sandals are not good options, except for beach areas.

  • Are there any special customs I should observe whilst in Egypt?

Yes, most Egyptian customs differ from the Western customs due to the cultural and religious differences, as shown below: 1. Most women in Egypt behave conservatively with strangers. 2. Most mosques require visitors to remove their shoes before entering. 3. Use the right hand to eat and give gifts. 4. It is inept to take photos of soldiers, tanks, or any other military property.

  • Can I get a visa on arrival from other border crossings other than airports?

Regarding the conditions for obtaining a visa at border crossings and ports, they are applied in accordance with the policy for obtaining an Egyptian visa, as mentioned previously. But kindly note that in some ports, guarantee letter will be required and also permission from the tourism police, to leave the port and return and your travel agent will help you in this case by providing the guarantee letter. It is therefore possible to apply for an Egyptian visa on arrival at the border control for the countries that take the visa upon arrival However, it is strongly advised against crossing the land border as information on checkpoints that issue visas on arrival is not always up to date. Thus, applying for a visa on arrival in Egypt can be done mainly at the following international checkpoints: Cairo International Airport Hurghada International Airport St Catherine's International Airport Borg El Arab International Airport in Alexandria Sharm El Sheikh International Airport Luxor International Airport

28-Dec-2024

I had a great tour of the famous WW2 memorials and museum dedicated to the Battle of El Alamein. My tour guide was Mohamed Elnoby. He was fantastic at explaining the history of the landscape and I had a very good experience with him as my tour guide. My driver Abdullah was also very good.

03-Jan-2025

We chose Sun Pyramids for our trip to Egypt, a private family group of seven persons. Their representative, Martina did an excellent job of preparing the schedule for an 8-day vacation that took us to many parts of Egypt. We explored the Giza pyramids and the Cairo museums including the newly opened GEM, the Siwa Oasis, Luxor and Aswan including Abu Simbel and Nubian village. We also visited Alexandria on the way to Siwa. We had a balloon ride over Luxor at sunrise, tea in the desert at sunset and felucca ride in Aswan. All drivers and guides were professional and always on time: Mervat for Cairo and Alexandria, Mo for Siwa and Ahmed for Luxor and Aswan were fun, knowledgeable and very helpful and polite in every aspect. The accommodation was also up to standard with good breakfast options, although a newly renovated hotel lacked heating (which apparently is required during wintertime!). Strongly recommend Sun Pyramids for your Egypt vacation.

Mahmoud Emam is a walking Google. I'm not sure if he is human, because he knows everything. He is friendly, polite, articulate, and charismatic. We were amazed by the sites and the depth of knowledge he shared. Ahmed Hamama was our driver and him and Mahmoud (our tour guide) arrived on time to begin our journey. Ahmed is a great driver who also is very polite, professional, courteous, and a pleasure to be around. I am fortunate to have chosen the right team to make this unforgettable experience of a lifetime.

22-Sep-2024

Hoda of Sun Pyramids put together a magnificent 2 day package for Bedford Scuba Divers that no one else could offer as we had limited time. We toured Cairo and Luxor in two packed full days even a camel ride and enjoyed every minute. We were able to visit the sights early and great tour guides throughout. We stayed at overnight Hotel Nefertiti in Luxor and it was a lovely Egyptian surprise in Luxor, with amazing views both in the evening and in the morning. Thank you Sun Pyramids, especially Hoda.

19-Jul-2024

We spent two days touring Cairo with Mahmoud Emam and are feeling so blessed to have chosen this company and experience. We went to the pyramids and rode camels, saw historical sites in Memphis and Saqqaura. Mahmoud was very knowledgeable and kind. He has so much information about so many different aspects of Egyptian history and culture and we so enjoyed our time with him. I highly recommend requesting him as your tour guide. We also did a dinner cruise on the Nile River and had shuttle service to and from the airport and had a wonderful driver as well as another tour guide named Mohab for these who we also felt very safe and comfortable with and learned a lot from. We have been so happy with our time in Egypt!!

I booked 08N/09D, tour with Sun Pyramids Tours. When I decided to make a tour to Egypt on my own I found out this travel company in a Google search. With the other customer recommendations I chose to travel with this agent with my family of 03 people. They handled our tour professionally and the vehicles provided were in very good quality. Overall we had a very nice experience in Egypt with the tailor made tour which was proposed by Sun Pyramids to suit our itinerary. Thanks a lot Sun Pyramids Team

30-Jul-2024

They are expensive enough, they promise 4 star hotels but the hotels are 2 stars, noisy, unmanaged and untrained staff. They won't care about the comfort the hotel may call you at midnight for any request you made at 9.30pm. Breakfast time was 7am, and i reached 7:30am, and it was finished. Customer care may call you at 1.30 am for any issue you face in the daytime. The card they gave me was full of dust as I opened the air through it all went on my face. They promised full air-conditioned cars, but they gave old less functional. The good thing was I canceled the 9 days plan on the 4th day, and they returned me about 40% payment. 1 star is for the refund. I don't recommend it.
