Day 1 : Arrival Inverness

Location: Inverness

On arrival at Inverness airport, we will transfer you to your hotel where you will stay for 2 nights. An evening of tasting Scotland’s famous “Uisge Beatha – ‘water of life’”. Our venue for the evening has over 120 Malt Whiskies to choose from in their Library Bar, some of which are rare and cannot be found anywhere else

Day 2 : Glenmorangie Distillery And Singleton Of Glen Ord Distillery

Location: Highlands

Today is reserved for visiting two distilleries. By the tranquil shores of the Dornoch Firth, amidst the golden barley fields of Ross-shire, lies the Glenmorangie Distillery. Here you will find a warm Highland welcome from the legendary Men of Tain, the skilled craftsmen who ensure that Glenmorangie is made in the same unhurried and uncompromising way it has always been through its long and distinguished history. With the help of our expert guides, you will experience all stages of the whisky-making process from mashing and fermenting to distilling and maturation. Within Still House (we call it our Highland Cathedral) stand the tallest stills in Scotland. Their long copper necks are the same height as a fully grown giraffe! Our next stop is Glen Ord Distillery. The Singleton of Glen Ord whisky distillery tour offers an immersive experience into the craftsmanship behind one of Scotland's most celebrated single malts. Located in the scenic Highlands, the tour takes visitors through the distillery’s rich history, showcasing traditional methods of production from malting to maturation. Guests have the opportunity to witness the distilling process up close and learn about the distinct characteristics that make The Singleton unique. To conclude, visitors can savor a tasting session, sampling the smooth, well-rounded flavors that define this iconic whisky. Day 3 : The Glenlivet And Glenfiddich

Location: Cairngorms National Park

After breakfast, we continue to explore the Highland distilleries. First today stop will be Glenlivet distillery, situated on the edge of Cairngorms National park.Glenlivet distilleryThe wild and remote setting of Glenlivet has been the home of the single malt that inspired a region. From this beautiful glen comes the raw elements of rich mineral Spring waters of Josie’s Well, crisp fresh mountain air and an uncompromising terrain that combined create the foundation of a whisky of infinite elegance. Over two hundred years ago, whisky was closely bound up in the lives of every family in the glen of the Livet. It was local farmer George Smith who was renowned for his fine ‘illicit’ whisky, in 1824 seized upon the opportunity to obtain the first license to produce whisky ‘legally’ in the parish of Glenlivet. He knew exactly where to build his new distillery and went on to produce a spirit that would define the Speyside style of whisky which became the heartland of Scotch malt whisky production. The Glenlivet is in the heartland of malt whisky country and a visit to this grand distillery will take you on a fascinating journey to the source of one of the greatest names in Scotch whisky.Back in 19th century William Grant and his family built their Distillery by hand, stone by stone and called it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer. Day 4 : Talisker Distillery

Location: Isle of Skye

Today we travel to the magnificent Isle of Skye to visit the oldest and only working distillery – Talisker Distillery. Set on the shores of Loch Harport with dramatic views of the Cuillins, Talisker is an alluring, sweet, full-bodied single malt that’s so easy to enjoy, and like Skye itself, so hard to leave. Talisker is the only Single Malt Whisky made on the Isle of Skye, one of the most remote, rugged, yet beautiful landscapes in Scotland. Few whisky’s tell the story of their origins better than those crafted at this distillery. We will try different types of whisky.Overnight is on Isle of Skye.

Day 5 : Ben Nevis Distillery

Location: Fort William

Accommodation Name: Overnight is at Fort William.

Following breakfast we leave the Isle of Skye and travel to Ben Nevis Distillery, one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. Established in 1825 and situated at the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, Ben Nevis distillery is an impressive and historic place. Incorporated within Ben Nevis Distillery is The Legend of the Dew of Ben Nevis Visitor Centre built into an old distillery warehouse. In a specially commissioned audiovisual presentation, you will meet Hector McDram, a mythical giant who will reveal the secret Legend of the Dew of Ben Nevis. Following this, you will receive a conducted tour of the production areas by a trained guide and a complimentary tasting.Overnight is at Fort William.

Day 6 : Glengoyne Distillery

Location: Glasgow

Accommodation Name: Overnight is at Glasgow.

After breakfast we leave Fort William and travel to Glasgow. On our route we will visit the famous Glengoyne distillery. The distillery sits at the foot of Dumgoyne Hill near Loch Lomond. In 1833, the local farmer, George Connell was granted the license to legally produce whisky in the area. He founded the Burnfoot Distillery, which became Glenguin Distillery in 1861, then, in 1906, became Glengoyne. In 1984, Lang Brothers received a Royal Warrant, having supplied whisky to the Queen Mother. Now it is owned by Ian MacLeod who bought it from Edrington group. Glengoyne enjoys the slowest rate of distillation in Scotland (the spirit comes from the Still at around 4-5 litres per minute) which encourages the formation of ‘esters’ giving Glengoyne its characteristically sweet, smooth taste. The spirit is then matured in oak casks from Spain, which have previously contained Sherry. Ian Macleod Distillers look after this whole process. We will have the opportunity to see the whole process of producing whisky and to taste samples from the cask and help Glengoyne select Distillery Exclusive Single Cask release. After visiting distillery we travel on to Glasgow where we will stay overnight.

For my trip home to the States, I cannot thank you enough for fast results on PCR test from lab Eurofins in less than 24 hours. There are virtually no travel test sites in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland capable of testing and getting results back within 3 days of a flight, and I did not want to rely solely on a rapid test which is less accurate. It took a while to find you, but was so happy I did. Namaste', y'all!

This was a trip of a lifetime, incredible architecture & local tour guides with exceptional knowledge...very friendly & accommodating...we stayed in fantastic hotels-all with very high standards of cleanliness, location & staff were superb as were the meals...After touring the north it was time for relaxing in Kerela spent one night on a houseboat and travelled round the backwaters...just stunning...and onto our final destination by the beach. I would highly recommend this whole trip to anyone... a very beautiful country so vibrant colourful & friendly. I would go back in a flash. Julia at Spirit Journeys was extremely helpful giving advice on passport renewal, visa requirements & so much more.

Excellent and friendly service from Spirit Journeys, who are one of the few agents in the Highlands capable of quick PCR tests. We were in Scotland to visit family and my parents and I had three separate tests, each of which was sent back within eighteen hours of the samples being taken. The pricing is also excellent (£45) compared to the majority of other providers, which charge a lot more for slower results.

Ordered several speciality cheeses and...

Ordered several speciality cheeses and black pudding after seeing they were a local company. Worst experience ever!!! Order was delayed by courier, food spent 8 days in transit. When I contacted the company they did nothing, lied about where the package was (told me it was in Lybster and out for delivery when actually it was at a processing hub in Dundee hundreds of miles away!!) and ignored my emails. We tried calling, conveniently went to voicemail. I asked for a refund after around a week of waiting as order had not arrived however this was not answered. The food finally arrived 8 days from drop off at parcel locker, box was danaged and opened on one side and when I opened the box I was surprised to see there was no ice pack/cool pack in there. This meant the cheese and black pudding had been unrefridgerated for 8 days and was warm! As this was for a present for an elderly couple there was no way I was going to give them food poisoning. I emailed this company again stating this and that due to the delay (as Interparcel tracking stated it was a two day delivery) that they could claim their money back due to failing to deliver on time and that I wanted to return these items as they were not fit for purpose. Again no response, very ignorant, rude and downright unprofessional. I emailed again asking for a refund and that should I not get a response I would be seeking to raise a dispute with my credit card company to claim my money back (£32.00). I have since found out from Interparcel that interestingly they do not accept perishable items and therefore the seller would have known this and lied about the contents of the package they were sending. Therefore, they wouldn't be able to claim for any loss of monies. If you are buying from this company use your credit card because then if you are in a similar situation to me you can claim your money back through your bank. I do not believe this company has any form of food safety training at all and I have relayed my concerns to trading standards and the local council for them to investigate. I have received no apology for the inconvenience or replacement of items or offer of refund. They have completely dismissed me. Customer service is shocking!!
