This morning after breakfast, head on a tour of Madrid. On this panoramic tour, you will discover the medieval origins of the city with its Arabic fortress at the Barrio de la Morería, famous for its historic buildings. Drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs, characterized by Phillip II and its Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa; the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains, and the Puerta de Alcalá. Admire the 19th-century work such as the Prado Museum. Then explore contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the district of Salamanca and Parque del Oeste, as well as the commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. After breakfast, depart the hotel heading to Salamanca in Northwestern Spain, classified as a UNESCO Patrimony of Humanity. Salamanca dates to the Celtic era when ornate sandstone architecture flourished. You will have free time to explore the town and the University of Salamanca, one of the oldest universities in Spain; founded in 1134. Salamanca was given the Royal Charter of Foundation by King Alfonso IX in 1218. Later, cross the border between Spain and Portugal; you will reach Porto late in the afternoon.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage city. We will visit the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange building, and Santa Clara Church. Next, take in a unique view of the city along the Douro River and explore its rich history with a visit to the famous Port Wine Cellars, where you can enjoy a wine tasting. The rest of the day is free to explore at your leisure.Overnight in Porto

After breakfast, you will depart for Coimbra, home to one of the oldest universities in Europe and the birthplace of Fado, a traditional Portuguese music style. Enjoy some free time to explore the city at your own pace. Next, continue to Fatima, a major center of Christian faith and one of the largest Catholic pilgrimage sites in the world. Here, visit the impressive Basilica and the Cova da Iria where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared. The Chapel of the Apparitions, located at the heart of the sanctuary, is the resting place of the three shepherds Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta. You may have the opportunity to attend the candlelight procession in the evening.  Overnight in Fatima

Today after breakfast, you will depart for Batalha and visit the famous monastery classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was erected in commemoration of the 1385 Battle of Aljubarrota and served as the burial church of the 15th-century Aviz dynasty of Portuguese royalty. It is considered one of the best examples of late Gothic architecture in Portugal. Then continue to the picturesque fishing town of Nazare, known as the most popular seaside resort in the Silver Coast region of Portugal. Popular attractions include its lighthouse and funicular. Enjoy some free time before continuing to Alcobaça, another World Heritage Site. Alcobaca is known for its 12th-century monastery and Museum of Wine. It has a collection of more than 8,500 items from across Portugal, including portable presses, barrels, historic labels, bottles, farming tools, and copper stills. In the morning you will tour the ancient Olissipo driving through its main squares and avenues, the Tower of Belem, a fortified tower in Santa Maria de Belém and a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Monastery of Los Jeronimos (entrance not included), one of the most prominent symbols of Portuguese Late Gothic Manueline styles of architecture in the city. Spend the afternoon at leisure perhaps exploring the Alfama Quarter with old buildings nested in the narrow twisting “Ruas” full of colorful buildings housing genuine “tabernas” where Fado can be heard.Overnight in Lisbon

Depart early this morning for Caceres in Spain. Founded by the ancient Romans, the city now boasts a blend of Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic, and Italian Renaissance architecture with its with fortified houses, cobblestone streets, and magnificent palaces. Walk through the Plaza Mayor and the Old Town with its famous Medieval Quarter. Today after breakfast, start with a tour of the beautiful Mosque-Cathedral, the greatest dual-identity monument in Spain and a powerful symbol of the two cultures that have shaped Andalusia. After the Moors captured Córdoba in 711, what had previously been a Visigoth Christian Church was split in two and used by Christians and Muslims as a place of worship. But in 784, on the orders of the Emir Abd al-Rahman, the church was destroyed and work on the great mosque began. Construction lasted for over two centuries and the building was eventually completed in 987, by which point Córdoba became the most important city in the Islamic Kingdom. After breakfast, depart towards south passing through picturesque villages, and arrive in Ronda. Enjoy your free time to explore this town of Celtic origin and take in the stunning views of the valley and surrounding mountain range. In the afternoon, continue to the Costa del Sol, renowned for its spectacular landscapes, beautiful beaches and rich culture. Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will depart for Morocco taking the ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar from Tarifa to Tangier. Upon disembarkation from the cruise, clear customs, and head south to Fez by coach, often referred to as the countrys cultural capital. Fez is well known for the University of Al- Karaouine; the first university in the world which was founded in 859 AD. Breakfast at the hotel. This morning you will embark on a city tour to discover the most ancient and monumental of the Imperial Cities. Visit the 7 gates of the Royal Palace, the Jewish Quarters or Mellah, the Gate of Bab Bou Jealous, and walk among the Medina. Spend the afternoon at leisure. You will have plenty of time to explore the city and maybe do some shopping in the Medina. We recommend you see the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts Crafts or the Jnan Sbil: this peaceful oasis used to be an imperial garden. The humanity. Enjoy dinner at hotel.


Overnight in Fez

Depart early for Rabat, Moroccos capital, to visit the Royal Palace exterior, the Mausoleum of Mohamed V and the unfinished Hassan Tower. Continue to Casablanca, exploring landmarks like United Nations Square, the Corniche Boulevard and the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, the worlds tallest minaret. Afterward, enjoy a scenic journey to Marrakech, the \"Pearl of the South,\" famous for its beautiful mosques, palaces, and gardens. Breakfast at the hotel. This morning explore Marrakech, starting with the Menara Gardens renowned for its side pavilion and olive trees. Then, visit the exterior of the Koutoubia Minaret, a twin to Sevilles Giralda. In the old town tour the Bahia Palace, once owned by a nobleman. Finally, wander through Jemaa el-Fna Square, one of Moroccos most vibrant locations, where you will visit the souks and discover artisan guilds, including woodworkers, potters, leatherworkers and spice merchants. After breakfast, you will leave Morocco and travel to Spain. Depart back to Tangier for the ferry crossing to Tarifa. The Strait of Gibraltar has served as a strategic gateway between Africa and Europe since Phoenician times. After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Granada, a city renowned for its incredible architectural heritage and the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms until 1492. Visit the world-famous Alhambra complex, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture, along with the beautiful Generalife Gardens, which have inspired famous writers like Washington Irving in his \"Tales of the Alhambra.\" The stunning palaces and lush gardens set against the Sierra Nevada backdrop offer a glimpse into the citys rich history. After breakfast, you will head north to the impressive Imperial city of Toledo, surrounded by the Tagus River. A UNESCO World Heritage City, Toledo is where three cultures—Christian, Moorish and Jewish—have coexisted. The entire town is a national monument, rich in Spanish art, history and spirituality.
