This journey offers you the opportunity to visit various celebrated highlights of France and experience this exceptional country in all its diversity. The tour starts in Rome with a sightseeing experience of the architecture-rich city. Discover the serene ambiance of the holy Vatican City in Rome, the principal center of Christianity in the world. You will have the chance to visit the marvelous and world-famous Versailles Palace to admire its luxury and stroll through its gardens. As you leave the capital city, you head towards the Northern Italy region to experience the Italian Riviera countryside. There is great significance in this area as you discover the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Next, you will immerse in the beauty of the mediterranean sea as you explore Cote d`Azur. Marvel the techniques of traditional perfume manufacturing as you travel through the stunning countryside to the Principality of Monaco. Your drive continues to the pristine and charming region of Provence, enriched with beautiful villages, awe-inspiring landscapes, and rich history. Here you will visit the world heritage city of Arles, where medieval history and architecture will leave you mesmerized. Continue to Lyon, where you will walk through the World Heritage Site old town and get to enjoy the cable car to climb Notre Dame de Fourviere, a huge basilica. Next, you will visit Burgundy, a historical territory and a former administrative region of east-central France. Here you will explore the beautiful vineyards and the countryside to La Rochepots before heading back to Paris where your tour ends. Your journey ends in Paris where you will have a few days to explore major attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris.

Day 1: Rome Arrival

Welcome to Italy! You will be met at the airport by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, check the information board in the hotel reception area for details of the meeting place, time, and the guide's name. In the evening, depending on your flight arrival, you will be transferred to the Trastevere area (this neighborhood will be a great introduction to Rome). Take a stroll in the narrow cobbled streets of the Trastevere district and find its hidden treasures, such as some modest medieval churches and small shops with interesting souvenirs. Many trattorias (informal Italian eating establishments) and osterias (inns) filled with the Italian spirit will be ready to serve your local dishes. Other restaurants serving international cuisines can be found in this area. After dinner, you will be transferred to your hotel.

In the morning after breakfast, you will embark on a scenic tour providing an excellent introduction to \"The Eternal City.\" Begins with a visit to the Vatican City, the epicenter of Christianity worldwide. Here you will have the opportunity to explore the awe-inspiring St. Peter's Basilica, a magnificent testament to religious art and architecture. Continuing your exploration visit the Imperial Forums (entrance included), a remarkable architectural complex comprised of monumental buildings and squares that once served as the political heart of Imperial Rome. As the day comes to a close a transfer is arranged to the Trastevere area. This charming district boasts narrow cobbled streets filled with hidden treasures including modest medieval churches and quaint shops offering unique objects and glimpses of daily Roman life. Along these enchanting streets, you'll find numerous trattorias and osterias embodying the true essence of Italian cuisine serving up local dishes. For those with diverse culinary tastes, this area also offers restaurants serving Indian, Chinese and international cuisine. After a delightful evening exploring and savoring the flavors of Trastevere, you will return to your hotel.

Note: On many occasions during the low season, as well as on some specific dates of the rest of the year, instead of the entrance to the Imperial Forums, we will enter the Roman Colosseum, a symbol of Rome.
Day 3: Rome – Pisa – Sestri – Nice

Today after breakfast, you travel to Pisa, where its fame comes from an architectural leaning structure. Here you will be taken on a train from the tourist parking area up to the monumental Field of Miracles to find the Leaning Tower. We continue amidst the beautiful scenery in the Mediterranean. En route, we will shortstop to enjoy Sestri Levante, a town and comune in Liguria, Italy. One of Liguria's lovely gems, Sestri Levante has a refined island atmosphere. Sitting on the jagged coastline halfway between Genoa and La Spezia. It is a pastel place with nice beaches. We continue to the French Riviera and end our day in Nice.

Day 4: Nice - Saint Maxime - Saint Tropez - Marseille

After breakfast, start your day exploring the Côte d'Azur and the Mediterranean Sea in France. First, you will visit Nice to enjoy the 'Promenade des Anglais' (Walkway of the English). Continuing your journey as you arrive in Sainte-Maxime, a delightful small coastal town. Here, you'll take a leisurely stroll through its port and historic center where the 'Square Tower' from the sixteenth century stands out. Following that you will board a tourist boat to cross the beautiful bay and reach Saint-Tropez. In its old fishing port, you can admire some of the world's most luxurious yachts. You'll have some time to explore and enjoy lunch. Finally, continue your journey to Marseille, France's second-largest city and experience its vibrant 'Vieux Port' (Old Port).

Day 6: Lyon - Tournus - Beaune - Dijon

Today, we will leave Lyon for Burgundy, a historical territory and a former administrative region of east-central France. It takes its name from the Burgundians, an East Germanic people who moved westwards beyond the Rhine during the late Roman period. We will stop at Tournus, a nice little town with its huge stone door and large abbey. After this, we travel through beautiful vineyards and the countryside to La Rochepot. La Rochepot Castle stands in an enchanting site, on top of the rocky spur of La Roche-Nolay. Built in the 13th century and remodeled in the 15th century, it has retained its outer defensive walls and elegant massive towers. We include admission to this powerful medieval castle. Next, we arrive in the wine capital of Burgundy Beaune. You have free time here to enjoy a stroll and a lunch meal. You can choose to visit the wine museum or see the historic hospice. In the early afternoon, we arrive in Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, with its lively streets, magnificent urban complex, and many medieval and Renaissance buildings, particularly the Ducal Palace.

Day 7: Dijon - Fontenay Abbey - Vezelay - Paris (B/-/-)

After breakfast, depart from Dijon. Your journey through the Burgundy region begins with a visit to Fontenay Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where admission to this Cistercian center is included. Then you will explore Semur En Auxois, a medieval city encircled by impressive walls. While still in Burgundy, enjoy a leisurely lunch and a stroll in Vezelay, renowned as one of France's most beautiful villages with its immense basilica serving as a starting point for the Way of St. James. In the afternoon, continue your route to Paris, arriving in the evening.

After breakfast, early in the morning, you will depart for Versailles, the immense palace of the kings of France. Afterward, you will return to Paris around lunchtime where we will provide a transfer to the Montmartre district. This neighborhood is renowned for its painters, artists and cabarets creating a unique and vibrant atmosphere. Take a moment to sit down for lunch and soak in the magical surroundings. Following lunch, a scenic guided tour will lead you through the history of main boulevards and breathtaking monuments of Paris providing you with a comprehensive view of this magnificent city. Finally, you will return to your hotel. Optionally, you can choose to attend a variety show in the evening to further enhance your Parisian experience.

What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
