Day 1: SEOUL ARRIVAL (-/-/D)

Established by the founder of Joseon Dynasty in 1392, Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea has a population of more than 12,000,000 people. On arrival at Incheon International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check in. Late in the afternoon meet your guide and head out on a tour of Seoul via the modern and efficient underground to City Hall to see this building shaped like a tsunami. In front of City Hall, you will see Deoksugung Palace, which is lit up at night; you will be able to appreciate Korean tradition and modernity coming together. On foot, you will then go to the Myeongdong District, the largest and busiest shopping area in Korea. Its name means ‘brilliant tunnel. Dinner included in a local restaurant.

Day 2: SEOUL (B/L/-)

This morning after breakfast tour Seoul. Visit Changdeokgung Palace, a World Heritage Site formed by a group of palaces inside a large park. Afterwards visits Bukchon Hanok Village, a traditional historical neighbourhood with tiny houses. Afterwards we will visit the War Memorial, an impressive war museum that tells of the different conflicts suffered by Korea during its history, particular the Korean War in which soldiers from many different countries took part. After lunch at a local restaurant continue to the Gangnam District, one of the busiest areas of the city, where there are numerous shopping and leisure centres. To finish, we stop at LOTTE WORLD TOWER, an impressive 550m building where there will be time to climb the tower (entrance not included) or stroll in the park or around the luxury shopping centres. Lunch included in a local restaurant.

Day 3: SEOUL- SUWON - JEONJU (B/L/-)

Start your day early with breakfast before meeting your local tour guide and head out on a tour of Seoul. Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, arguably the most beautiful and grandest palaces in Seoul where you will see Gwanghwamun Gate (founded by the first king of the Joseon Dynasty and witness the Changing of the Royal Guard ceremony (if scheduled). We leave Seoul behind for our next stop, the city of SUWON, the former capital of Korea, a World Heritage Site, famous for its walls Heritage of Mankind. We will stop at the Samsung Innovation Museum to learn about the history of this famous technological company. (Note: The visit to the Samsung Innovation Museum is not always guaranteed. In case it is not possible, Samsung D´Light will be visited instead). We will see the impressive wall with its fortifications and will visit Hwaseong Haenggung, the summer palace. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will depart for JEONJU, where we will see its fascinating old town (Hanok Village), with its tiny houses, traditional shops, and art galleries.

Day 4: JEONJU - HAEINSA - DAEGU - BUSAN (B/L/-)

Today, amidst impressive mountain forest scenery, we come to HAEINSA, a Buddhist temple built in the year 802 where we discover the Tripitaka, the most complete collection of Buddhist texts engraved on 80,000 blocks of wood. We will visit the temple and the museum on the Tripitaka. Next, we continue to DAEGU where we see the market of traditional medicines with its different herbs, and especially ginseng, and the Museum of Oriental medicine. We head to BUSAN, the second largest city in Korea.

Day 5: BUSAN - SEOUL (B/L/-)
Location: Busan
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
This morning tour Busan, visiting the fantastic Doosan Haeundae complex with its more than 300 m skyscraper and its sports marina. We continue to the memorial to the United Nations with its cemetery where people from numerous countries are buried. By Nampo Port we will see the largest fish market in the country. After lunch we will walk to Yongdusan Park with its immense 120 m pagoda. At around five thirty we take a modern high-speed train and in three hours we are back in Seoul.

What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
