In the morning you will travel on the Premium Economy train of the “Inca Rail” company through the sacred Urubamba Valley to the \"Lost City of the Incas\" — Machu Picchu. Perched 8,200 feet above the valley, the site was hidden by mountains and semi-tropical jungles for 400 years until it was discovered by Hiram Bingham of Yale University in 1911. Archaeologists believe that the Inca \"Virgins of the Sun\" took refuge from the Spanish Conquistadors here. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes, you will transfer to shuttle service for a drive up the switchback road to the ruins. A knowledgeable tour guide will share the history of this mystical place of the Inca. You will enjoy a buffet lunch in a local restaurant in Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, take the train back to Ollantaytambo Rail Station, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Cusco.

What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
