Begin your adventure to Caño Cristales, one of Colombia’s most breathtaking natural wonders. After a scenic transfer, arrive in the heart of Serranía de la Macarena, where the legendary “River of Five Colors” awaits. Known for its vibrant hues of red, yellow, green, blue, and black, this mesmerizing river is a true spectacle of nature. Get ready to explore its crystal-clear waters, cascading waterfalls, and stunning rock formations as you embark on an unforgettable journey into Colombia’s most colorful paradise!

IMPORTANT! - There are no currency exchange houses in La Macarena, so it is recommended to bring enough local cash. - The itinerary and flight schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions and information from airport
authorities. - Luggage limit: 10 to 15 kg, depending on the airline. - Vaccination: Yellow fever vaccination is recommended at least 10 days before departure. - To protect the National Natural Park, the use of sunscreen, repellents, or other chemical substances is strictly

The day kicks off with breakfast at La Manigua Lodge before heading out at a designated time (between 7 AM and 8 AM), assigned by Cormacarena and the National Parks authority. We begin with a peaceful 15-minute canoe ride on the Guayabero River, then continue with a 40-minute 4x4 journey into the Sierra de La Macarena National Park. Upon arrival at the park’s welcome center, we’ll stretch and get ready for a scenic 30-minute hike to the breathtaking Caño Cristales.

Once at the river, we’ll follow a specific trail chosen by park officials, based on current conditions and group fitness. During the next 7 hours, we’ll discover the river’s vibrant beauty, stop for a packed lunch, and enjoy a refreshing dip in designated swimming areas. To wrap up the day, we’ll head back to La Manigua Lodge for a relaxed cultural activity by the river, soaking in the tranquil views before ending with a hearty dinner.

Once you've arrived and checked into your hotel, the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Discover bustling plazas, sip on world-class coffee, or unwind under the city’s famously mild skies.
