This tour combines trekking and tubing for the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation in nature’s paradise.

Ancient stone pathways and terraces, hidden within the dense jungle, offer breathtaking views of the endless rainforest of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta—a vibrant green paradise. In this untouched wilderness, howler monkeys swing through the treetops, toucans and exotic birds nest in the branches, while colorful butterflies dance among tropical flowers.

Taironaka is both a natural sanctuary and a historical treasure, preserving the legacy of the lost Tayrona civilization. Many of their ancient structures remain visible today, and their descendants, the Kogi people, still inhabit the region. Nestled along the banks of the Don Diego River at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Taironaka captivates visitors with its lush biodiversity and rich indigenous heritage.

Our journey begins with a scenic drive along the coastline to the Don Diego River (30 minutes). At the small Tayrona Museum, we gain insight into the indigenous culture and history before visiting a traditional Kogi house, known as a “Bohío,” and exploring the pre-Hispanic terraces of the Tayrona. A 1.5-hour hike leads us to a stunning viewpoint, followed by a trek through the forest along the Don Diego River. As we reach the confluence of the Don Dieguito River, we embark on a relaxing tubing adventure downstream, floating toward the river’s mouth where it meets the sea. Here, we unwind, soak in the natural beauty, and immerse ourselves in the serenity of this extraordinary landscape.

Nestled in the lush mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Minca is a tranquil escape filled with waterfalls, coffee farms, and breathtaking views. Just a short drive from Santa Marta, this charming village offers a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.
Hike through verdant jungles, swim in crystal-clear waterfalls like Pozo Azul, and visit organic coffee farms to taste some of Colombia’s finest brews. Enjoy stunning sunsets from Los Pinos or Casa Elemento, where the views stretch over the Caribbean coast. A paradise for nature lovers and backpackers alike, Minca is the perfect place to unwind and connect with the beauty of Colombia.

Experience the charm of Minca with a visit to Victoria Farm, a tranquil coffee farm nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Explore lush coffee plantations, learn about sustainable farming practices, and enjoy a fresh cup of locally grown coffee while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and jungle. It's a perfect blend of nature, culture, and relaxation; afterwards, we embark on a brief jeep ride and a short hike to reach the Arimaka waterfall where we get to go for a refreshing dip.

From the charming town of Minca, we embark on a scenic drive to Finca La Victoria, a historic coffee farm located just 30 minutes away. As we ascend through the lush landscapes, we witness the diverse climate zones that make this region ideal for coffee cultivation. Along the way, we pause to admire breathtaking views and capture stunning photographs of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Upon arrival at Finca La Victoria, we delve into the fascinating world of Colombian coffee. During a guided tour of the hacienda, we uncover the secrets behind the coffee-making process, from bean selection to roasting, and indulge in a tasting of one of the finest locally produced coffees.

Our adventure continues along the Pozo Azul Route, leading us through a short but scenic 15-minute walk surrounded by rich flora and fauna. Here, we arrive at Pozo Azul, a series of crystal-clear natural pools where we can unwind and take a refreshing dip in the cool mountain waters.

After our time at Pozo Azul, we return to Minca for a well-deserved lunch at one of the area’s recommended restaurants (not included). Energized and ready for more, we hop into comfortable 4x4 vehicles and set off for the Marinka Waterfalls, where cascading waters from the Sierra Nevada create a rejuvenating natural spa.

To conclude this immersive nature experience, we visit the Hummingbird Balcony, a magical spot where countless hummingbirds flutter around feeders, offering a mesmerizing close-up encounter with these vibrant and delicate creatures.
