Day 1 : Welcome to Colombia! Arrival in Bogota

Welcome to Bogota, the capital of Colombia! Arrive at the El Dorado International
Airport (BOG) and the capital of Colombia, located at 2,600 meters above sea
level. The past and the present blend in this metropolis founded in 1538 to offer
you varied artistic expressions that include museum exhibits, dance, theater,
music, and splendid cuisine. The "city of contrasts" as it is rightly called; Bogota
will offer you every spectacle ranging from shanty neighborhoods to high-rise
apartments and walking through the historical center is an experience that takes
you back to the past while living the present intensely. Its streets have witnessed
the passing of centuries, and every window, door, and corner has a story to tell.
Day 2 : Half Day Bogotá City Tour – Flight to Medellín

We'll embark on a walking tour through Colombia's bustling capital. In La
Candelaria's historic center, colonial buildings housing theaters, galleries,
libraries, and museums stand alongside government offices and palaces. Rustic
bakeries mingle with photocopy shops and bookstores, creating a vibrant tapestry
where office workers and students intersect with fruit and wafer vendors. At Plaza
de Bolívar, Bogotá's expansive central square, we'll explore key government
edifices. Continuing along Carrera Séptima, Bogotá's lively pedestrian
thoroughfare, we'll visit the city's oldest church, San Francisco, and the renowned
Gold Museum (closed on Mondays). Finally, you’ll take a flight to Medellín, the
next chapter of your adventure begins.
Day 3 : Full Day City Tour in Medellín

This full-day tour highlights the key attractions of Medellín, known as the "City of
Eternal Spring." We'll explore the vibrant downtown area and visit Botero Plaza,
a park dedicated to Fernando Botero, Colombia's renowned sculptor and painter,
featuring his iconic oversized sculptures, now a beloved city landmark.
Next, we'll take the modern Metro cable car to Santo Domingo, a neighborhood
once infamous for gang violence. Originally built to improve access between the
city center and underserved suburbs, the cable car now also provides visitors with
a glimpse into life in these communities. In Comuna 13, we'll experience another
groundbreaking project: the electric escalators, which have significantly enhanced
daily life in the area. As we take in breathtaking views of Medellín, we'll learn
about the city's remarkable transformation from one of the world's most
dangerous places to a thriving hub for art, culture, business, fashion, and
technology. A traditional restaurant lunch is included in the tour.
Day 4 : Full Day Coffee experience – Taste Colombia!

No trip to Colombia is truly complete without visiting a traditional coffee finca!
On a modest plot of less than three hectares, Don Octavio Acevedo and his
family cultivate the beans for their own coffee brand, offering visitors an
incredible chance to experience the journey from plant to cup. The day begins
with a leisurely walk-through vibrant coffee field, where we learn about the
cultivation and harvesting of coffee beans. Afterward, a hearty traditional
countryside lunch provides the perfect energy boost before we dive into the
coffee roasting process. Finally, the highlight of the experience: brewing and
savoring a fresh cup of highland coffee.
Day 5 : Full Day Visit to El Peñol & Guatapé
Location: Embalse Peñol-Guatapé

The Peñol rock is one of the most spectacular destinations in the surroundings of
Medellin. The 200 meters high monolith can be climbed via a staircase of 740
steps. Breathtaking views over the stunning Guatape reservoir, over green
mountains and blue water, make up for the climb. The nearby village of Guatape
is small and peaceful with a pleasantly warm and mild climate. It is famous for its
church and colorfully painted and decorated houses. Our trip here involves a
scenic drive out of Medellin and into the picturesque highlands of the department
of Antioquia. We can climb the Peñol rock and enjoy a delicious Colombian lunch
on the waterfront of the Guatapé reservoir afterward. In the afternoon there is
time to explore the water reservoir on a boat ride, stroll around, and relax.
Afterward, transfer directly to the airport, which is located east of Medellín, not
far from Guatapé and Peñol.
Day 6 : Head to the Caribbean – Flight to Santa Marta

city's defense strategy against pirate attacks in the 17th and 18th centuries. Next,
we'll proceed to the historic center and enjoy a leisurely stroll for approximately 2
hours through its picturesque squares, churches, and streets. Cartagena's blend

Day 9 : Full day tour Islas del Rosario
