Kinsale Kinsale is a historic fishing and port town in County Cork, Ireland. Kinsale is located 15 miles south of Cork City on the River Bandon. The town is known for its historic streets, colorful shops and array of restaurants.

Garnish Island Off the coast of Southwest Ireland sits Garnish Island, a place that has to be seen to be believed. Board a small ferry and make your way through Bantry Bay to Glengarrif harbor passing Seal Island en route to this hidden gem. Disembark and explore this island comprised of some of Ireland’s most beautiful gardens.

Dingle Peninsula The Dingle Peninsula stretches for 30 miles into the Atlantic Ocean from the southwest coast, and is the northernmost peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. The peninsula ends beyond the town of Dingle at Dunmore Head, the westernmost point in Ireland. The peninsula offers beaches which are safe for swimming and surfing, walking routes and towns featuring many events and festivals.

Dingle Coastal Walk or the Blasket Centre While on the Dingle Peninsula, it's your choice between two activities. First, a Dingle Coastal Walk - a flat and leisurely cliff top walk that takes in spectacular views of the sea, countryside and headlands. Your other option is to visit the Blasket Centre, which tells the story of the traditional life of the Blasket Islands community, who lived on the Blasket Islands until the 1950's.

Your Tour Manager guided walk is approximately 1.8 miles (3km) and will take an hour or less. The terrain is relatively flat and guests should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring rain gear as the weather can change quickly. The walk finishes at the Blasket Centre.

Aran Islands These rugged islands stand fast against the Atlantic just outside of Galway Bay. Only a few miles from the Cliffs of Moher, each of the three islands possess its own distinct character. Yet they are all seemingly frozen in time and somehow have kept the modern world at bay. We visit Inisheer (or Inis Oirthir, meaning "east island"). With a population of just 250, this rocky place is the smallest of the islands but perhaps has the biggest heart and is revered as the most beautiful. Inisheer’s limestone landscape belies its generous and friendly spirit.

Cliffs of Moher The Cliffs of Moher are a series of cliffs located on the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland. They are 5 miles/8 kms long and 702 feet/213 meters tall at their highest point. On a clear day one can see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay. These cliffs are Ireland’s most visited natural attraction with up to 1 million visitors every year.

    Children over the age of 5 may travel on a Collette tour accompanied by an adult. Child land rates are valid for ages 5-12, sharing a room with two full-paying adults. Participation in any products that include Safari or Game Drive components, is limited to travelers aged 13 and up. This will include tours to Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa and India.

  • What is the difference between a twin room and double room?

    In certain countries, hotel rooms tend to be smaller than U.S. standard accommodations. A double room is designed to accommodate two people, but may not have two separate beds. A twin-bedded room has two separate beds of any size, and is the type most commonly utilized.

  • Do you provide VISA processing for all applicable destinations?

    Collette does not process VISAs. Every nation has its own specific requirements. Check the embassy or consulate website for the country you are visiting to find the forms and information you need. The process of getting a VISA can take two weeks to two months.

  • Do I need a passport?

    Government-issued ID is required for all air travel. A valid passport is required for all trips outside the USA. All passengers should check with the appropriate foreign consulate for entry and validity requirements. We recommend that your passport has six months validity, and at least 3 blank pages. Passports and visas are the responsibility of each client. International Borders. Any child under age 16 (traveling without a parent or legal guardian to Canada) must have written permission from a parent or legal guardian. Please be advised that if you have been convicted of an offense, or have committed a criminal act that is an offense under the laws where it occurred and would be an offense in Canada, you may be inadmissible into Canada. You will need to apply for a Minister's Permit of Approval of Rehabilitation at a Canadian Consulate. All other travelers should contact the appropriate consulate for entry requirements in other international destinations. In South Africa, children are required to have a passport as well as additional documentation to travel with you into and out of the country. Please consult the South African Embassy for the current specific requirements related to your travel dates. If travelling internationally with a child under the age of 18, please check directly with the airline for the legal documentation that is required. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to procure the proper documentation to travel and many requirements vary by airline and destination.   • Is there a lot of walking on tour?
