Day 1 : Colombo To Nuwara Eliya

Location: Colombo, St. Clair's Waterfall, Devon Waterfall, Nuwara Eliya, Victoria Park, Nuwara Eliya, Gregory's Lake, Nuwara Eliya

Pick you up at the hotel early in the morning. Take away breakfast. Leave Colombo for Nuwara Eliya. Witness St. Clair’s & Devon Waterfalls at Talawakelle. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya and have lunch. Commence the Nuwara Eliya city tour. Visit the Market, City Park (Victoria Park), and Gregory’s Lake. At the end of the day, we take you to the hotel. Check into the hotel. Day 2 : Nuwara Eliya

Location: Nuwara Eliya, Ambewela Farm, Hakgala Botanical Gardens

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for an excursion to Ambewela Farm. Ambewela Farm is situated in the lush green hills of Nuwara Eliya and consists of two farms: Ambewela Farm and New Zealand Farm. The New Zealand Farm is located only 3-4 km away from Ambewela Farm. Spend the evening at leisure and visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens. Hakgala Botanical Garden is one of the three botanical gardens in Sri Lanka and is the second largest in the country. The garden is contiguous to Hakgala Strict Nature Reserve in Nuwara Eliya and is believed to be the highest botanical garden in the world. It is situated on the Nuwara Eliya - Badulla A5 Highway, 16 km from Nuwara Eliya, with a travel time of approximately 25 minutes from Spring Acre. Hakgala Gardens was established in 1861 for the experimental cultivation of Cinchona, a commercial crop at the time. There are over 10,000 species of flora planted here. Back to the hotel. Day 3 : Nuwara Eliya To Colombo

Location: Nuwara Eliya, Ramboda Waterfall, Gannoruwa, Colombo

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Colombo. En route, visit Ramboda Waterfall and a tea factory. You can visit a working tea factory to see the tea production process. This is an efficient day outing to experience some of the best tea and water conservation zones in Sri Lanka. After lunch, visit the model farm at Gannoruwa. Proceed further and arrive in Colombo. Drop you off at the hotel.

From the time we landed in Colombo to the time we left Colombo back home Buddhika at Ceylon Travel dream and our great Guide Chamila took amazing care of us. Chamila was very informative and treated us like family, we travelled and visited a lot of places in Sri Lanka, he was very caring with my elderly family members and gave us an excellent tour around Sri Lanka. Ceylon Travel - One Stop solution for Sri Lanka

Having decided fairly early on, Sri Lanka was set as our go to place for the honeymoon having an optimal mix of land, water, mountains with lush greenery. All research conducted pointed towards having a tour guide for ease of travel and arrangements, and thats when we stumbled upon Ceylon travels (having also heard of them through a friend) Our experience with Buddhika, from Ceylon travel and dreams has been nothing short of extraordinary. He was incredibly patient in hearing our interests, highly accommodating of our proposed changes in the journey and always willing to find the solution. He not only provided us with the optimal route for our 10 day trip but also booked plausibly the best hotels within our budger. We have had the best trip of our lives, all thanks to Buddhika, and his excellent tour guide who I would rate amongst the best in Sri Lanka. The tour guide (also the driver) whose name was also Buddhika is a very kind hearted man, and took care of us like family. Overall, this trip far exceeded our expectations and cannot wait to be back with the wider family, and obviously doing all the arrangements through Ceylon. ...more ...less
