Day 1: Puerto Montt, Chile

Location: Puerto Montt

Check in and Embarkation (D)

Check-in will be done between 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in our local offices, where our port staff will receive your luggage. The passengers shall embark at 4:00 p.m. Once onboard, crew members will give a welcome talk along with some information for a safe and fun journey. Depart at 4:00 pm and begin sailing through the Patagonian Fjords, with final destination at Puerto Natales. The trip starts by the Seno de Reloncaví, Gulf of Ancud, and in the evening we enter the Apiao Channel and then the Gulf of Corcovado

Day 2: Moraleda Channel - Gulf Of Penas, Chile

Location: Gulf of Penas

Moraleda Channel, Ocean Area, and Gulf of Penas (B/L/D)

As dawn breaks, our journey takes us through the southernmost reaches of the Gulf of Corcovado. With a keen eye on the weather, tidal currents, and the strategic alignment of the Moon and Sun, our Captain will make an informed decision about the best route to chart further on our voyage. Among the various departure choices to the Oceanic Area, three primary options stand out:

Boca del Guafo: This route guides us swiftly between the captivating Chonos Archipelago and the enigmatic Guafo Island, allowing us to swiftly access the Oceanic Area.

Canal Ninualac: Opting for the Ninualac Channel involves traversing the Moraleda Channel during the morning. We'll approach Tuap Island and turn westward, sailing through the Ninualac Channel and eventually reaching the open sea in the afternoon.

Canal Pulluche: The captivating Pulluche Channel takes us through Moraleda Channel and connects us with notable waterways like Canal Errázuriz and Chacabuco. Eventually, we'll find ourselves immersed in the verdant Palluche channel, characterized by its lush lenga and cypress forests. This route often grants sightings of dolphins, sea lions, and vibrant wild birds.

As we begin our ocean navigation, just north of the Gulf of Penas, the profound adventure of the open sea awaits. Anticipate a journey lasting around 12 hours, during which, weather permitting, you may be graced with sightings of majestic Humpback, Minke, and Blue whales. These sightings are naturally influenced by the time of year and atmospheric conditions.

Day 3: Bajo Cotopaxi - Puerto Eden, Chile

Location: Villa Puerto Edén

Bajo Cotopaxi to Puerto Eden (B/L/D)
We will wake up sailing between fjords, and we will cross the Messier channel that reaches 1,270 meters deep, a characteristic that makes it the deepest in the area. In this channel, we will also have the opportunity to see the Cargo Ship "Captain Leonidas", which stranded in the 70s on a submerged islet called "Bajo Cotopaxi". This ship is currently used as a navigational beacon and a point of reference for navigators. Shortly after, we will cross the Angostura Inglesa, passing in front of the town of Puerto Edén, where the last population of indigenous Alacalufes of Chile lives, which is located on Wellington Island, one of the largest in the country. It is part of the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. We continue our navigation through the Patagonian channels, called Paso del Indio, Paso del Abismo, Canales Wide, Concepción, Inocentes, Angostura Guía, Canal Sarmiento, Paso Farquar, Strait Collingwood, Canal Unión, Paso Sobenes (the southernmost of our route), Escobar Doxrud Pass and Canal Morla Vicuña.

Day 4: Angostura White - Puerto Natales, Chile

Location: Puerto Natales

Angostura White to Puerto Natales (B)
In the early morning we will sail through the Santa Maria Channel, to then reach the narrowest pass of the route, the Angostura White (“White Narrow”), which is only 80 meters wide. Then we will navigate in the Union Sound to later enter the access channel to the city of Puerto Natales, where our great adventure ends.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Dates and times are estimates and must be confirmed within 48 hours prior to departure indicated in this document. The itinerary may change due to weather conditions during the travesy or departures and arrivals in every port.

The Bamba Team really made my journey one of the most memorable experiences of my life! Still so nice and supportive! They handled everything and responded to each question within a few minutes. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. Especially if you want to do a lot of activities and travel to a lot of different places without feeling rushed. They've also helped me with specific issues that weren't covered by the tour, as well as answering general questions. Thank you so much for making my journey so enjoyable!

I only have good words about our trip to Kenya. The entire experience was totally magical and I struggle to say how fantastic it was. We were fortunate enough to have a brilliant vehicle for ourselves, but we had great luck with David for our guide too. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and nice. Thank you for helping to create this fantastic safari experience. I Highly recommend this company.

Feb 20 2020

We organized a trip through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia on the hop-on, hop-off bus. It made the trip so much simpler for us as first-time travelers because we just had to send an email to arrange the bus, which avoided the hassle of looking for the best price and so on! We also had a number of tours included, they were all amazing and saved us the trouble of trying to find the best offers on our own; it also meant we got to see a lot of stuff we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I will strongly suggest and use again!

Jun 25 2019

I had booked our Uyuni Salt Flats & Desert Adventure 3D/2N (Uyuni to Atacama) tour via an Australian travel agency, but they had made an error and refused to assist us or take responsibility. This was very difficult for us because we wanted to have a stress-free honeymoon. I contacted Bamba and I asked if we could talk on the phone so they made the improvements to our tour reservation that our travel agent declined to make. The quality of service was exceptional and they generously offered to us a complimentary gift because it was our honeymoon. I can't say enough good things about Bamba.
