Location: Machu Picchu, Aguas Calientes, Ollantaytambo, Cusco

Machu Picchu Visit - Return to Cuzco (B)
Take one of the first buses to Machu Picchu to enter the site as it opens. Meet up with your English speaking guide for a visit to the archaeological site (approximately 2 hours). After your tour, your guide will return to Aguas Calientes and you will be on your own with plenty of free time to explore the hidden corners of this ancient Inca city. Choose from the optional treks to climb Huayna Picchu (at an additional cost - needs to be booked at least 2 weeks in advance) or walk to the Inti Punku (Sun Gate) for panoramic views of the site. Take the bus back to Aguas Calientes. Return to Ollantaytambo by train and finish the trip with a van back to Cuzco late that day. Upon arrival to Cuzco City Center, you will need to make your own way to your accommodation.

On the second day, you will take an early bus to Machu Picchu for a guided tour. After the tour, you have free time to explore or take optional treks. You will then return to Aguas Calientes, take the train back to Ollantaytambo, and finish with a van ride back to Cuzco.

Is there an age limit?
No! Most of our bamba travellers fall between the ages of 18 - 35, but everyone is young at heart and welcome to come experience the world with us! If you are between the ages of 18 and 118, we invite you to travel with bamba and have the time of your life! Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Who will be my travelling companions on the tour?
Most of our trips cater to the adventurous independent traveller. In fact, many of our travellers arrive on their own and quickly find that they easily meet like-minded people along the way at their hostels, on transportation, or during activities.

Do I need travel insurance?
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip, especially when travelling in developing countries. Bamba does not include travel insurance of any type.Your current medical insurance may cover part of your trip, so it is important for you to become familiar with your current coverage. If you plan to participate in activities such as white-water rafting, trekking, sand-buggy rides, etc please make sure they are included in your policy.
