Welcome to Vancouver! Once you've arrived at the airport, please make your own way to the accommodation for tonight. We'd recommend taking either a taxi (approx $35 + tip), public transportation on the Canada Line ($9.00 pp) or a private chartered sedan: $120 (includes tip).
Day 2: Vancouver, Canada

Foodie Adventure
Today you’ll go on a foodie adventure through Granville Island Public Market where you can sample delicacies from Canada’s top artisans. Your guide will lead you through this foodie paradise as you sample over twenty Canadian specialities like organic bread, local charcuterie and cheeses. Enjoy a seated farm-to-table meal, British Columbia wine and some sweet treats as well. With your local guide leading the way, you’ll get local recommendations and a feel for the Granville Island community.

Enjoy a full day at leisure exploring Vancouver before spending your last night here.
Day 4: Vancouver - Banff, Canada

Transfer to Banff
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before making your own way to the airport and catching your flight to Calgary Airport (flight not included). From there, you'll catch a public coach to Banff where you'll be spending the night.
Day 5: Banff, Canada

Banff half-day tour
Explore the island town of Banff in this Half-Day Tour with a professional guide leading you through the untamed mountain wilderness. Stop at major landmarks such as the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka and breathtaking view at Surprise Corner. Follow your guide along trails lined with pine trees while keeping an eye out for the abundance of wildlife that calls Banff home.

Lake Louise and Moraine Lake Experience
These stunning alpine lakes look too beautiful to be real. On this sightseeing tour you will visit the “Jewel of the Canadian Rockies”, Lake Louise, and the world renowned Moraine Lake, both of which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of their priceless natural beauty. They’ll stop you in your tracks in awe! Wander the shoreline at Lake Louise and see the Victoria Glacier and the famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Hotel, and then snap some shots of Moraine Lake in the beautiful Valley Of The Ten Peaks. Join your guide for a short walk up the Rockpile at Moraine Lake, where you’ll find the iconic view that was once on the back of the Canadian $20 bill. During the tour your guide will weave tales of the early mountaineers, who also fell in love with this spot in the 1890s. Overnight in Banff.
Day 8: Banff - Jasper, Canada

Icefield Parkways Tour
Depart on the Icefield Parkways - Banff to Jasper Tour. Following the spine of the Canadian Rockies, view a never-ending procession of mammoth mountains, jagged snowy peaks, and numerous glaciers in the majesty of Canada’s two most famous National Parks, Banff and Jasper. Sightseeing stops along this beautiful highway will include Lake Louise, the Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Lake, the Columbia Icefields, the Weeping Wall and Athabasca Falls. Your stop at the Columbia Icefields will provide you with approximately four hours to take part in the Glacier Adventure tour as you climb aboard the bus and ride on to the Athabasca Glacier, and explore the Glacier Skywalk overlooking the Sunwapta Valley. You may also choose to enjoy the interpretive exhibits at the Columbia Icefield Centre or take a short guided walk to a scenic viewpoint. A picnic lunch is also included. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 10: Jasper - Calgary, Canada

Is there an age limit?
No! Most of our bamba travellers fall between the ages of 18 - 35, but everyone is young at heart and welcome to come experience the world with us! If you are between the ages of 18 and 118, we invite you to travel with bamba and have the time of your life! Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Who will be my travelling companions on the tour?
Most of our trips cater to the adventurous independent traveller. In fact, many of our travellers arrive on their own and quickly find that they easily meet like-minded people along the way at their hostels, on transportation, or during activities.

Do I need travel insurance?
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip, especially when travelling in developing countries. Bamba does not include travel insurance of any type.Your current medical insurance may cover part of your trip, so it is important for you to become familiar with your current coverage. We recommend purchasing additional travel insurance that provides coverage for medical emergencies, emergency evacuation and repatriation, lost or stolen items and unforeseen cancellations. If you plan to participate in activities such as white-water rafting, trekking, sand-buggy rides, etc please make sure they are included in your policy.
