Day 1 : Arrival To Cairo

Welcome to Cairo, Egypt (Around The Clock) Ancient Today Tours representative will pick you up from Cairo International Airport by the exit door, holding a sign “Ancient Egypt Tours with your name written on it”. Will meet & assist you at Cairo International Airport (Arrival procedures) and then he will escort you to the hotel by exclusive air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then met your personal guide who will accompany you to Giza Plateau to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World The great Pyramid of Khufu’s (Cheops), 3small pyramids You will continue to explore the rest of Giza plateau including the sight of Khafre’s (kaphren) pyramid — Khufu's son, the second-largest pyramid on Giza site, the remains of the funeral temple, the pyramid of Mankawra(Mykerinus) and 3 small pyramids. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates from the time of Chephren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the pyramids of chefren This temple served definitely two functions: First, it was used for the purification of the mummy of the king before its burial. Second, it was used for making the Mummification process of the king. After visiting the pyramids, you'll then continue across the plateau for a photo opportunity of the three pyramids rising from the sands, with the Cairo skyline in the background. Proceed to have your lunch at local restaurant Then Move to visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world's oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser, the museum of I mhotep, the tomb of a high official, the pyramid of king Titi, the pyramid of king unas, and see the pyramids of Dahshur from a distance. After that transfer to Memphis, which was founded by King Menes, and was the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it was considered to be a canter of rule and culture for over 3000 years the first capital of Egypt, The city reached a peak of prestige under the 6th dynasty as a centre for the worship of Ptah, the god of creation and artworks. The alabaster sphinx that guards the Temple of Ptah serves as a memorial of the city’s former power and prestige. The Memphis triad, consisting of the creator god Ptah, his consort Sekhmet, and their son Nefertem, formed the main focus of worship in the city. Memphis declined briefly after the 18th dynasty with the rise of Thebes and the New Kingdom, and was revived under the Persians before falling firmly into second place following the foundation of Alexandria and see the Statue of Ramses II-16 meters high, the alabaster sphinx. Breakfast at the hotel and then you will be escorted by your private guide to visit: The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum, in Cairo, Egypt, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities, and dates back some5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, with a representative amount on display, the remainder in storerooms, The Egyptian Museum which is filled with thousands of Pharaonic artifacts, including the golden treasures of king Tutankhamen. End your tour in Cairo with a visit to Amr Ibn El-aas mosque which is the very first mosque built in Egypt. You will continue to explore Then transfer the Citadel of Salah El-din, where you will see the view of all Cairo, as you will visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which is considered the largest to be built in the beginning of the 19th century the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Egypt over 45 years & it is built in Turkish style, Before extending your trip you will be served with a warm delightful lunch meal at a high quality restaurant. After lunch, There you will drive to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, (if there's enough time), one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Back to hotel

Absolutely FABULOUS ! This tour so far has exceeded my expectations ! They have gone above and beyond with every detail. It was my birthday on my day of arrival. My MOST EXCELLENT tour guide Mac, pre-arranged a surprise little birthday party for me put on by the hotel staff ! I felt so welcomed and special! Just do it! Egypt has so much: the sights sounds and tastes are so different from anywhere I had been before. The pyramids and temples we visited were beyond my expectations and our guide Alaa ensured we had the best viewings. He showed us his Egypt with passion, insight and in-depth knowledge of the history of his country. Alaa was the difference between an interesting trip and a wonderful memorable experience.

My wife and I went on the Discover Egypt & Cairo (with Nile Cruise) - 10 Days tour. We had prompt airport pickup and transfer to the hotel. The hotel that we stayed at for night in Cairo was a Hilton property with a view to the Nile. It was not the newest hotel, but safe, comfortable and with a friendly staff. The tour of the pyramids, Egyptian museum, etc.. was perfect for the first day. We then flew to Luxor the following morning. We went to the cruise ship through lunch and then saw the sites. While the cruise ship was not the newest nor fanciest, it was clean, comfortable and with a friendly staff. The food was good. The site visits and excursions (we did the balloon ride and Abu Simbel) were all excellent. Also, there was a good balance of time seeing the sites and time to relax for the entire trip.

A truly wonderful trip. I had long been anxious to visit Abydos as is it does not feature on the normal itinerary. I had experienced the wonderful service provided by ‘Truly Egypt’ before and so did not hesitate to contact Mac. The tour was wonderful, and, as always, Mac’s knowledge and enthusiasm brought the setting to life. Anyone wanting to tour in Egypt should contact this company first.

What a wonderful time we had in Egypt My mom and I have never been on a better Holiday. were impressed by how organized Vacations to go was. We had a private tour for just the two of us. john (our Rep) met us at the airport and made us feel at ease. He was a great help at the airport and hotels The Accommodations were fantastic we flew to Luxor to for the 4 night Nile cruise on M/S nile premium . Couldn't be more pleased with the accommodation on this cruise. Rooms were very nicely fitted and they had a top deck that was very tasteful, where we could relax and just take in the journey on the historic Nile. Thanks to mac and all the team of truly Egypt tours truly Egypt team did an excellent job and made our stay unforgettable. Thank you. And for sure we will recommend this trip to our family and friends

amazing tour of Egypt for her 81th birthday

My mom and I had an amazing tour of Egypt for her 79th birthday. Mac was very helpful by helping to ensure the itinerary I signed up for would really be suited for my mom since she is older. With his help, we were able to change the itinerary a bit to give us some downtime between tours and get the most comfortable travel/accommodations. Mona was the guide the first day in Cairo and Sabah was our guide the majority of the tour. Both were excellent, taking care of us each step of the way. Flexibility was key for us and we were happy to have joined this tour and be part of a small group of other travelers which allowed us the opportunity to get to know other travelers and learn more from our Egyptian guides. It is good to note though, that the itinerary online isn't all that specific and you need to contact the team to learn the details of what each thing means. It would be helpful to have a hour by hour schedule to see where things can be moved around to fit your individual vacation preferences. The team is very helpful to accommodate your requests.
